Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using the Pawletter mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. The App is operated by Avell Labs Inc ("we," "us," or "our"). You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or guardian's consent to use the App.

Pawletter is a subscription-based mobile application that generates personalized daily illustrated cards ("letters") featuring your dog, using artificial intelligence. Each card includes an AI-generated illustration, a quote written from your dog's perspective, and a personal letter message. The App also provides daily activities to enjoy with your dog, including games and play ideas, bonding moments, training tips, and location-based suggestions for nearby dog-friendly parks, cafés, trails, and off-leash areas ("Explore"). Explore suggestions are provided for informational purposes only — always verify hours, policies, and suitability before visiting.

New users receive their first 3 cards at no cost. No credit card is required for the free trial. After your 3 free cards, a subscription is required to continue receiving daily cards.

• Pawletter Core costs $6.99 USD per month. Pricing in your local currency may vary by region as set by Apple • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase • Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period • You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds for unused time • Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policies

Cards are generated using artificial intelligence, including AI-generated illustrations, quotes, and letter messages. You acknowledge that: • AI-generated content may occasionally contain imperfections or unexpected results • The quality, style, and content of cards may vary from day to day • We continuously improve our AI systems but cannot guarantee specific outcomes • Generated illustrations are artistic interpretations inspired by your dog's photos, not exact reproductions

• Your photos: You retain all rights to photos you upload. By uploading photos, you grant us a limited license to process them for card generation purposes only. • Generated content: AI-generated illustrations, quotes, and letter messages are owned by Avell Labs Inc. We grant you a personal, non-commercial license to use, save, and share your cards. • Social sharing: You are permitted and encouraged to share your cards on social media and messaging platforms for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not: • Bulk download, scrape, or systematically extract card content • Resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute generated cards • Use the service to generate content for other commercial products • Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI generation process • Share your account credentials with others • Use the service for any illegal purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings page. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Avell Labs Inc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, interruption of service, or AI-generated content that does not meet your expectations.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Avell Labs Inc, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights, including but not limited to uploading photos you do not have the right to use.

The App relies on third-party services to function — including Supabase (account storage and authentication), Apple and RevenueCat (subscription billing), and Google Gemini (analyzing your dog's photo to personalize each letter). Their terms and privacy practices are their own. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for any third-party services or any content they may surface. Your use of those services is at your own risk and subject to their applicable terms.

You confirm that you are not located in, or a citizen or resident of, a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree not to use or export the App in violation of any U.S. or other applicable export control or sanctions laws.

The App and related documentation are "Commercial Items," consisting of "Commercial Computer Software" and "Commercial Computer Software Documentation," as those terms are used in 48 C.F.R. §2.101. They are licensed to U.S. Government end users only as Commercial Items and only with the rights granted to all other end users under these Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
