Pawletter ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Avell Labs Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Pawletter mobile application and related services.

We collect the following information to provide and improve our service: • Account information: email address (used for magic link authentication) • Dog profile: name, breed, age range, personality traits, favourite things, and a text description provided by you • Photos: images of your dog that you upload (typically 3-5 photos) • Preferences: delivery time, timezone, notification settings • Device information: Expo push notification token for delivering daily cards • Usage data: card views, favourites, and basic interaction analytics (via Vercel Analytics) • Location data: approximate location (city-level) used to suggest nearby dog-friendly places through the Explore feature; location is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe and Apple; we never store credit card numbers

Your information is used to: • Generate personalized daily cards featuring your dog • Send push notifications at your chosen delivery time • Send weekly digest emails summarizing your week's letters (you can opt out of these in app settings) • Suggest nearby dog-friendly places, parks, and activities based on your approximate location • Process subscription payments • Improve card quality and AI-generated content • Provide customer support

Your dog's photos and profile information are processed by third-party AI services to generate daily cards: • Google Gemini API: analyzes your dog's photos to create illustrated card images and select visual styles • The AI generates original illustrations inspired by your dog's appearance -- your actual photos are not published or shared in the cards We do not use your data to train AI models. Your photos and profile data are used solely for generating your personal cards.

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices: • Database and authentication: Supabase (hosted on AWS) • Photo and card image storage: Supabase Storage (encrypted at rest) • Application hosting: Vercel • All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption • Row-level security policies ensure users can only access their own data

We share data with the following service providers, solely to operate the service: • Supabase: database, authentication, file storage • Google Cloud (Gemini API): AI image generation • Stripe: payment processing • Apple: App Store distribution and in-app purchases • Vercel: application hosting • Resend: email delivery • Expo: push notification delivery • Google Maps Platform: location-based place suggestions for the Explore feature We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account: • Your profile, dog data, and generated cards are permanently deleted within 30 days • Uploaded photos are removed from storage within 30 days • Payment records may be retained by Stripe as required by financial regulations • You can request account deletion through the app's Settings page or by contacting support-pawletter@avelllabs.com

Pawletter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support-pawletter@avelllabs.com.

You have the right to: • Access your personal data • Request correction of inaccurate data • Request deletion of your data • Export your data • Opt out of marketing communications To exercise these rights, contact us at support-pawletter@avelllabs.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Pawletter is operated by Avell Labs Inc, a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
